Department of Pharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology shall

  • strive to lay a solid foundation in the undergraduates, on the pharmacological basis of therapeutics.
  •  Engage in integrated teaching activities by conducting and carrying out teaching leaning and research activities in relation to clinical studies and community stream.
  • assist the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in training specialists in several fields.
  •  have a close collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and the department shall engage in training of pharmacists, physiotherapists, electro-cardiographers, ophthalmic technologists etc.
  •  have laboratories to conduct undergraduate and postgraduate research in both clinical and pharmaceutical sciences.
