The department shall
- be responsible for teaching Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatal Paediatrics to undergraduate medical students.
- Help the undergraduate, postgraduate, and foreign elective students pursuing their research through the given department of studies.
- provide treatment and care for women with normal and high-risk pregnancies, and will address a wide range of gynecological and women's health concerns.
- be a centre of excellence for the treatment of medical disorders in pregnancy. These will include acquired and congenital heart disease, diabetes, and other endocrine disorders complicating pregnancy etc.
- Excel In gynaecology and the main areas of interest will be endometriosis and endoscopic surgery.
