The Dean’s Office of Uva Wellassa University’s Medical Faculty will be inaugurated during a ceremonial opening on May 12th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. We are privileged to have the esteemed presence of Sr. Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, and Prof. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera, Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University, as they graciously preside over this significant event. Prof. Muditha Vidanapathirana Appointed as Dean of Uva Wellassa University’s Faculty of Medicine
Prof. Muditha Vidanapathirana appointed as the Dean of the newly established Faculty of Medicine at Uva Wellassa University, the 5th faculty of the university. Prof. Vidanapathirana brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this role. Prior to his appointment, he served as a Professor of Forensic Medicine in the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Additionally, he has also served as the Chairman of the National Child Protection Authority in Sri Lanka.
