  1. 2006-2010- CREATIVE WORK: ‘Suwa Deepani’- The weekly Radio programme of the Faculty of Medicine, Ruhuna in collaboration with Ruhun Sevaya – medical issues were discussed with subject specialists. Conducted since 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010- 4 x half an hour programmes were recorded once a month. More than 100 programs were conducted by me.
  2. 2007- CREATIVE WORK: Medical exhibition – 2007- The Chairperson of security. The Coordinator of the forensic stall. Forensic stalls attracted the highest number of people.
  3. 2008- CREATIVE WORK: ‘Sithum Siyawel’- The annual cultural show- Chairperson of Publicity- 2008. Participated in a half-hour TV programme with a student in ITN. Arranged advertising in Rupavahini, Derana and ITN. Arranged a half an hour discussion with students in Rupawahini. Arranged a one-hour programme on cultural show in ITN.
  4. 2009- CREATIVE WORK: Development of the ‘Medical Exhibition Centre’ at the Faculty of Medicine, Ruhuna. I was the secretary to the subcommittee of the MEC. Tirelessly worked with Prof. PL Ariyananda and 4 demonstrators to make that event a success. Opened for the public in May 2009. It is an educational as well as recreational centre. Attracts a lot of schoolchildren.
  5. 2010 up to date – CREATIVE WORK: I organize the staff hardball cricket team of the Faculty of Medical Sciences for hardball cricket matches. We played for the second time with students.
  6. 2008- CREATIVE WORK: Organized the Induction Ceremony of the President of the College of Forensic Pathologists of Sri Lanka

  • 2003-2005: The number of cadre posts was 4 (3 lecturers/senior lecturers and a Professor). There were 2 senior lecturers and a Professor in the staff. Therefore, 25% of excess workload above the norm.
  • 2006-2007: Following the demise of Professor C. Niriella in 2005, there were only 2 lecturers. Therefore, the excess workload was 50%.
  • 2008-2010: In 2008, a probationary lecturer was recruited. Therefore, the excess workload was 25%.
  • 2004-2010: Covering up of the medico-legal work of Prof. N Chandrasiri was done by me from 2004 to 2010.

The above cadre approved is only taking into consideration of the MBBS programme. Thus, the above additional workload is only when teaching in the MBBS programme.

However, in addition to the above, I was involved in teaching and conducting examinations for Diploma in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (DFMT) since the initiation of the degree program, in addition to research and numerous administrative roles. Thus, the work actually carried out is much higher than indicated in the above table.

I was appointed as the coordinator of the Diploma in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (DFMT) from 2019.04.07 to 2020.Dec 31 and from 2023.03.01 to 2023.05.01.

I was involved in scheduling lectures, teaching, blueprinting, and compiling the DFMT paper. I am still involved in teaching and assessing the DFMT Students.

  2. 2010- DUAL DELIVERY OF LESSONS: Lecture notes are given to the students before every lecture. Approved at faculty board and one is attached.
